Transmission and Distribution Smart Grids - Asia
Visitors from as far afield as Canada, Australia, China and
Europe attended the "Transmission and Distribution Smart Grids
Asia" Exhibition, despite delays caused by recent flooding in
Thailand. High visitor numbers made for a very successful event, so
it proved to be the perfect place for Lucy Switchgear to increase
exposure to the developing Asian market.
As the only supplier demonstrating products and practical
automation schemes, Lucy Switchgear caused quite a stir. Automation
specialist Tim Spearing gave demonstrations of the remote
capabilities of the new Aegis RMU using the Gemini RTU. This proved
to be a great practical focus for the conference delegates, as they
were able to see how the management of a "smart grid" ultimately
relies on primary equipment switching.
Visitors to the stand included both managers and engineers from
MEA, Pea and EGAT as well as many others from outside Thailand.
Visitors to other stands were also shepherded over to the Lucy
Switchgear stand so that other stand exhibitors could demonstrate
where their kit fits into the Smart Grids systems, using our
graphics and products as a guide!
Lucy Switchgear look forward to greater involvement in the Asian
markets, and assisting with the growth of Smart Grids in this area
and others.
